Honey Badger's Question of the day

Question: When Dr Dallemand said during his interview on Monday that he was trying to protect the students, which student was he talking about? The poor young girl that got raped or the thugs that raped her?

    1. Himself. Imagine how different his response would have been if it had been his daughter.

  4. Perhaps if people were protecting the thugs before they became thugs they wouldn't rape people.

    1. In an utopian society, that would be true. However, history has show us repeatedly that even people given every advantage in life can "choose" to give into the evil/animialistic side that exists in us all. As humans we are above other members of the animal kingdom due to our ability to communicate and think rationally. I see where you are coming from and agree to a certain extent, but it is a very simple explanation to a very complex, and unfortunately, common situation for many of our kids. I have been in the classroom for seven years now and I still get tears in my eyes when I am praising my students for working hard, making the right decision, or pointing out how gifted they are in an area and the look on their faces shows me that I am the first person to ever tell them something so positive. I have high expectations for all my students and they know that I expect them to be respectful to each other and most importantly themselves. I hold them accountable for their actions. And I show them that it's OK to make mistakes and even fail; but it's not OK to give up. We all make mistakes and we all fail, these are the ways we grow, become stronger, and ultimately learn. But, as much as I care about them, advise them, and try to steer them in the right direction, it is ultimately up to them to be strong enough to do what's right and sometimes, they don't. Everyone of those students that participated in that horrific act is old enough to know right from wrong. And it took a certain amount of planning, dare I say, "strategic planning", on their part for this to even occur.

  5. Please message maconeducationapriority@gmail.com if you want to participate in the filibuster for the thursday board meeting.

In addition to the adies from Rochester not having the first clue about funding and policies in Georgia, he is paying them way off scale at $147,000 and $136,000.

    3. Of course he is paying them that much, he needs to pay them more than they were making in Rochester! When he recruited those "ladies" to his cabinet, one of the first things he did was propose a salary increase for them (from about $90K (or less) to $120K. The board approved it without even blinking (as you all know, if you question or contradict the man, you are called out as a racist), and then when the taxpayers challenged the board to explain their decision (in a time of budget cuts and layoffs), Dallemand was quoted in the paper as saying the ladies deserved it because they "work hard." ????????????????????

You folks are in for the ride of a lifetime with this charlatan. The Emperor has lots of clothes, very nice quality, fancy professional looking clothes (and jewelry). What he doesn't have is integrity, transparancy, humility, honesty, etc. He certainly knows how to abuse power through his position, so I was not surprised to see the expenditure on the soundproofed room. Lots of stories from here about his screaming and doling out of punishment to anyone who dared challenge him.

History is repeating itself. So sorry that your board was stupid enough to buy what he was selling. We have many, many years of work to do here in Rochester because of the damage this guy wrought.

  8. He visited TWENTY churches on Monday. I would bet my last dollar that not one was white! This is a racist fiasco and I, as the parent of two gifted white children, am SICK of it.
